Re: SUBJECT: Next Meeting, and assorted information
An agenda is attached for your next meeting, which will be Wednesday, January 18, 6-8 pm, at the Lee County Administration Building, 2115 Second Street, 1st Floor meeting room.
There has been a lot of activity since the last meeting. The recommendations of the Smart Growth Committee were reviewed at the November 28th meeting of the Local Planning Agency, as a set of Evaluation and Appraisal Report based recommendations. A “subcommittee” met with the Humans Services Council and discussed what we are doing. The nature of local governance, in regard to coordination and annexation, was analyzed and some preliminary recommendations were developed.
Attached for your review are the draft minutes of November’s meeting, the draft report “Interlocal Agreements, Annexations, and Service Provision,” and the draft summary, “Special Districts in Lee County”.
