Re: Next Meeting and assorted information
An agenda is attached for your next meeting, which will be Wednesday, May 17, 6-8 pm, at the Lee County Administration Building, 2115 Second Street, 1st Floor meeting room.
There has been a lot of activity since the last meeting. Babcock funding has made it through the Legislature and so has the Lake Okeechobee Operations Review Committee, and both await Governor review.
The Local Planning Agency is receiving for action the Smart Growth recommendations that still require Comprehensive Plan amendment. The draft going to them is provided, and is essentially the same as the last meeting, with a few recommendations removed as having already been completed.
Also attached are the minutes of April’s meeting, the redevelopment/infill concept, and the unchanged “Smart Village” concept.
